Our farmers go through a lot to keep producing the food that feeds our nation
This past year alone farmers have faced everything from drought and bushfires to monsoonal rain, pest incursions to pricing pressures. The financial, physical, and emotional toll can be huge… and sometimes it can prove too much to bear.
Rural Aid’s financial, volunteer, resource, and counselling support programs help ensure our farmers get the help they need, when and where they need it most—but we can only keep providing this vital hand up to our mates in the bush with your support.
If you want to show your support to Aussie farmers in need, donate today. Because every dollar makes a difference.
Like many of his neighbours, Forbes farmer Scott Darcy’s fodder harvests were decimated in the November 2022 floods, and his 1800 sheep faced starvation in the subsequent days and weeks.
For Scott, Rural Aid’s delivery of 480 tonnes of hay on December 15 was a welcomed relief.
“The sheep behind us, we just fed them with donation hay from Rural Aid, who have been fantastic. The generosity of the Australian public has been fantastic. It’s good to know the Australian spirit is out there to help farmers in need,” Scott said.
All donations received by Rural Aid ensure the ongoing provision of critical relief and recovery assistance to Aussie farmers. There is still so much work to be done and every donation makes a difference—thank you for giving generously.
